Circles

Circles are user groups within a tenant. They bring people together around shared interests or organizational structures, and they enable targeted content delivery and community features.

Circles are managed in the Backoffice under Circles. Each circle has:

  • Name — A display name (up to 100 characters).
  • Description — A short description of the circle’s purpose (up to 500 characters).
  • Picture — An optional image representing the circle.
  • Active status — Circles can be activated or deactivated at any time.

Users join circles to become members. Circle membership determines what content and features a user can access within that circle. Admins manage membership through the Backoffice.

Each circle can have an associated group chat, giving members a dedicated space for conversation. When a circle is set up, a chat channel can be created for its members automatically.

Articles can be associated with specific circles. When an article is linked to one or more circles, only members of those circles can see it. This allows admins to deliver tailored content to specific groups without creating separate tenants.

The Circles feature can be enabled or disabled per tenant by a system administrator using a feature flag. When disabled, circle-related functionality is hidden from the platform.
